The Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department and the PWD Steering Committee, has distributed essential items to support Differently Abled Persons (PWDs) in the municipality 🌟.
The event, held on January 30th , 2026, was led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Priscilla Yorke, and aimed to empower PWDs through the 5% allocation from the District Assemblly Common Fund (DACF).
Items distributed included industrial sewing machines, deep freezers, and gari processors to boost income-generating activities. Additionally, support was provided for school fees and healthcare payments to enhance the overall well-being of PWDs.
The MCE, Priscilla Yorke, emphasized the assembly’s commitment to inclusivity and empowerment, urging PWDs to utilize the support to improve their livelihoods.
The initiative reflects the assembly’s dedication to improving the lives of all residents, especially the vulnerable.
