CONFIRMATION OF NEWLY APPOINTED MCE FOR WASSA AMENFI WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY
On Thursday 17th April 2025 at the Municipal Assembly Hall, the Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Assembly had a confirmation ceremony to elect the newly appointed MCE, Madam Priscilla Yorke.
In accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016, Act 936, The President of Ghana, nominated Madam Priscilla Yorke for the position of Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Assembly.
Following the provision of Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act and Order 14(2) of the Model Standing Orders, the election for the confirmation of the nominee was conducted by the Municipal Electoral Commission.
After securing the required votes, Asankrangua District Magistrate Judge sworn her into office.
