MCE HON. PRISCILLA YORKE LEADS FAMILIARISATION TOUR OF CHINESE SHOPS AND CASINOS
On January 14, 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Wassa Amenfi West, Hon Priscilla Yorke, led a delegation of assembly officials on a familiarization tour of Chinese shops, casinos, and other foreign-operated businesses in the district.
The team, which included the Municipal Finance Officer, Municipal Budget Analyst, and other officers of the assembly, visited various businesses in Asankrangwa and its environs.
During the tour, the MCE served the business operators with their business operating permits, urging them to comply with the assembly’s regulations. The visit also provided an opportunity for the business operators to share their challenges and suggestions on how the assembly can support them. Issues such as access to infrastructure and security were among the concerns raised.
Hon. Yorke assured the business community of the assembly’s commitment to addressing their concerns, saying, “We are here to listen and support. We want to work together to make Wassa Amenfi West a better place for business and living.”
The tour aimed to foster a positive relationship between the assembly and the business community, and to identify areas where the assembly can provide support.
The business operators appreciated the MCE’s initiative, saying it was a welcome move that would help improve their operations and contribute to the district’s development.
