Wassa Amenfi West unanimously confirm Lord Nana Tandoh as MCE
Assembly members in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality have unanimously endorsed President’s nominee Lord Nana Tandoh as the Municipal Chief Executive.
Lord Nana Tandoh obtained 100% of the total 28 votes cast, making him the second MCE since Amenfi West attained Municipal status.
The Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon Suleman Azure, in his welcome address touched on the importance of the members to massively endorse the nominee to enable the house to tackle the developmental issues of the municipality.
He seized the opportunity of the presence of the Western Regional Minister, Hon Dr Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, and made mention of some roads in the municipality which are in deplorable state
“I cannot end this welcome address, Hon. Minister, without mentioning certain key challenges that we are confronted with, though today is a confirmation,” he said.
”Asankrangwa-Bawdie road, Hon Minister, I will not waste my time to talk about it because we are lucky that it is the entrance to this municipality. Asankrangwa town roads, Samreboi town roads, Breman-Fordjuorkrom road and worst of all, Samreboi-Mumuni-Prestea Nkwanta roads, Torompan roads and others are all in the very deplorable state,” he added.
On his part, Hon Okyere Darko Mensah promised to liaise with the MCE to draw development to the Amenfi West Municipality.
Immediate past MCE, Hon George Agyiri, promised his unflinching support to offer Hon Lord Nana Tandoh in terms of administrative memories.
The confirmed MCE, Lord Nana Tandoh, expressed his profound gratitude to the President, NPP members, Member of Parliament and the entire assembly for the massive endorsement.
He promised to work tirelessly to drive home developments that the municipality is lacking behind.
The peaceful event was graced by dignitaries of Nananom, Religious Leaders, past chief executives, party executives and others.
