WASSA AMENFI WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY LAUNCHES ZONAL COUNCILS IN BREMAN AND SAMREBOI
The Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Assembly has officially launched two Zonal Councils in Breman and Samreboi, marking a significant step towards deepening local governance and bringing development administration closer to the people.
The newly established Breman Zonal Council and Samreboi Zonal Council are expected to serve as important structures for facilitating grassroots participation in local governance and development within their respective areas.

The establishment of the Zonal Councils is aimed at strengthening the Assembly’s engagement with communities by creating platforms through which residents can communicate their development needs, concerns and priorities to the Municipal Assembly.
The Councils will also support the Assembly in mobilising community members for development activities, promoting sanitation and environmental management, encouraging community participation, and contributing to the implementation of programmes and projects within their respective zones.
Speaking at the launch, the MCE, Madam Priscilla Yorke emphasized the importance of active community participation in achieving sustainable development. Residents were encouraged to take advantage of the Zonal Councils as a channel for engaging the Assembly and contributing to the development of their communities.

The launch of the Breman Zonal Council and Samreboi Zonal Council is expected to further strengthen decentralisation and improve the delivery of services to residents within the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality.
The Municipal Assembly called on residents, community leaders and other stakeholders to support the newly established Zonal Councils and work together towards the development of the Municipality.
