FIRST NATIONAL SANITATION CLEAN UP EXERCISE OF WASSA AMENFI WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY
As part of the preparation towards first lunch of the national sanitation day policy which aims at improving waste management and enhancing environmental cleanliness in the municipality, the Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Assembly in partnership with all the institutions and stakeholders participated in the cleanup exercise which took off on Friday, 6th of June, 2025 from 6am to 12pm in Asankrangwa and its environs.
The exercise began as early as 6: am with the sweeping of the streets, cleaning of gutters, gathering and disposing of refuse etc. The people who took part in the exercise were offered water, gloves, boots and nose masks for protection and also brooms, rakes, shovels, wheel barrows etc. to ensure that the exercise is done effectively.
The Municipal Chief Executive (Honorable Priscilla Yorke), the Coordinating Director (Mr. Daniel Konney), the Ghana Fire Service, Immigration Service, Police Service and the entire SHS student in Asankragua, as well as the staff of WAWMA took part in this exercise.
