EPA VISITS FLOOD-AFFECTED COMMUNITIES IN SAMREBOI

A team from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), led by Professor Nana Ama Browne Klutse, has visited communities in Samreboi affected by recent flooding to assess the situation and engage with residents.

The visit formed part of efforts to assess the environmental impact of the floods and gain first-hand information on the challenges faced by affected communities.

During the visit, the team interacted with residents and observed areas impacted by the flooding. The engagement provided an opportunity for the EPA to better understand the effects of the disaster on communities and identify environmental concerns that may require attention.

The visit also underscored the importance of collaboration among relevant stakeholders in addressing the challenges associated with flooding and promoting environmental safety and resilience within affected communities.

Residents and community stakeholders expressed their concerns and shared their experiences regarding the impact of the floods, while the EPA team took note of the issues raised.
