Statistical Training on Administrative Data
The overall goal of the training workshop was to educate participants on compilation of administrative data in MMDAs for policy formulation, budgeting, programming and monitoring progress at the district level. The Ghana Statistical Service has seen the essence of the administrative data in the various districts and how it will contribute to the development of the MMDAs and the nation at large. The administrative data will be giving the Assemblies an opportunity to get a regular and disaggregated data for policy formulation. It will also help to track data at the district level to know the progress of it from national level.
The training workshop was opened at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome statement by the Western North Regional Statistician, Mr. Richard Sackey; followed by an opening speech from Mr. Saaka Ibrahim, Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Coordinating Director. Mr. Saaka Ibrahim thanked the participants and the facilitators for attending the workshop. He stressed on the importance of compiling administrative data to facilitate the development of the Assembly. He encouraged the participants to take the training serious so they can help the Municipal in policy formulation. Finally, he wished all participants a good and successful training workshop.
