WASSA AMENFI WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY’S 66th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
The Independence Day was celebrated on the 6th of March 2024 in Asankragua at Boadum Park. The theme for this year’s celebration was “OUR DEMOCRACY, OUR PRIDE”.
The Municipal Chief Executive (Honorable Lord Nana Tandoh), the Coordinating Director (Mr. Daniel Konney), the Member of Parliament (Honorable Eric Afful), the Education Director (Mrs. Solace Osei),the Chief Police Commander, Nanaom of Asankrangua and the nearby communities, the members of the Clergy, the Chief Imam amongst others honored the program with their presence.
As part of the activities, there was march past, cultural display and choreography by some of the student. The various schools in the municipality participated in the march past. Also the cadet in the various schools took part in the activity.
Awards were given out to the best performing students in the WASSCE and BECE, also the education director was awarded for her performance.
