ASANKRAGUA NURSING AND MIDWIFERY TRAINING COLLEGE SRC WEEK CELEBRATION

The SRC week celebration commenced on 18th March,2023 and ended on 24th March,2024. To introduce the celebration, there was pre SRC from 13th to 17th March, where students were dressed in old school attire, ladies going gent-like and the guys doing otherwise and in jerseys to class. There was an all-black bash and traditional wear on the Saturday and Sunday respectively with the best outfits for each day being rewarded.

The main week celebration started with a candle night procession, followed by launching session where the Dean of students, Vice principal, SRC executives and the principal of this noble institution gave their speeches. The 10 beautiful ladies contesting for the face of health graced the occasion with their performances.

On the Tuesday night, the student had a movie night with the title of the movie “TAKUNTA”. This is a way of improving socialization among the student, especially the introverts.

On Wednesday morning, the students went for a float within the community in their t-shirts and jeans. After the float, health talk was held for the students led by Mr. Ernest Abekah Aidoo and his team from Occusafe Consult Limited on “Health and safety in healthcare”. In the evening, the first phase of the Face of Health was held which the queens gave their beautiful performances.

On the Thursday morning, pool party was organized for all the students at Uptown Hotel, which the students represented well in their pool fits and followed by street jam in the evening.

On Friday, they had indoor games including volleyball, aware, ludo, table tennis and many more in the morning. Then in the evening, the second phase of the Face of Health was held with the winner being crowned in the person of Miss Victoria Gyimah.

Awards Night was held on Saturday night in which plaques were given to best model, male vocalist of the year, etc. including best outfits for the pre SRC week.

Sunday concluded the SRC week celebration with thanksgiving service held for the students to show appreciation to God for a successful week celebration.

This year’s Asankragwa NMTC SRC week celebration has brought memories to the hearts of the students and encouraged students to participate in all activities and be committed to whatever the school does.
