F&A COMMITTEE HOLDS MEETING TO STRENGTHEN FINANCIAL PLANNING AND OVERSIGHT

The Finance and Administration (F&A) Committee of the Wassa Amenfi West Municipal Assembly has held a meeting to deliberate on key financial and administrative matters aimed at strengthening the Assembly’s financial management and ensuring transparency in the use of public resources.

The meeting formed part of the Committee’s responsibilities to review and scrutinize the financial activities and budget of the Assembly, while ensuring that resources are properly planned, managed and utilized in accordance with established procedures.

During the meeting, members discussed issues relating to the preparation and review of the Municipal budget, with emphasis on ensuring that proposed expenditures are aligned with the development priorities and programs of the Municipality.

The Committee also considered measures to promote financial transparency, accountability and prudent management of the Assembly’s resources. Members emphasized the importance of proper planning and effective monitoring to ensure that available resources are used efficiently to support the delivery of development programs and services.

The meeting provided an opportunity for members to deliberate on financial concerns and make recommendations to improve the Assembly’s financial administration.

The Finance and Administration Committee reaffirmed its commitment to carrying out its oversight responsibilities effectively and supporting the Assembly in achieving sound financial management and sustainable development within the Municipality
