WASSA AMENFI WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY’S 38TH FARMERS DAY CELEBRATION
The 38th farmer’s day was celebrated on the 2nd of December 2022 in Asankran Breman at the community’s Park. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Accelerating Agricultural Development Through Value Addition”.
The Municipal Chief Executive (Honorable Lord Nana Tandoh), the Coordinating Director (Mr. Saaka Ibramhim), the Member of Parliament (Honorable Eric Afful), the Agric Director (Mrs. Patience Amoah Frimpong), the Chief Police Commander, Nanaom of Asankran Breman and the nearby communities, amongst others honored the program with their presence.
In all, 21 farmers were awarded. They received items including, motor tricycle, cutlasses, spraying machines, citations, wellington boots, televisions, fridges etc.
About 30 exhibitors of food crops and livestock were also given cutlasses.
The Overall Best Farmer for Wassa Amenfi West went to Mr. Eric Kodua from Bodeakrom. He received a Motor Tricycle, cutlasses, wellington boots, fertilizer etc.
